After announcing our next webinar on Excel Automation we have had a few questions come in about Spreadsheet Server. Here we address a few of the frequently asked questions:

If our system is hosted by MRI or Yardi can we use Spreadsheet Server?
- Yes! It will require a VPN (virtual private network) from your software vendor but Spreadsheet Server is designed to work with MRI Windows or Web, as well as Yardi-hosted databases.
Will my data, and any charts I have linked to my data, update automatically?
- Yes, Spreadsheet Server will refresh your MRI or Yardi data when opened and any Excel charts you have linked to the live data will refresh as well.
Do I need an MRI or Yardi license to use this tool?
- No, Spreadsheet Server will connect directly to your system's SQL database. No MRI or Yardi license is required.
What is the standard implementation time?
- Standard implementation time is 8-12 hours total, including installation.
One of my accountants wants to use Spreadsheet Server but doesn't understand queries or the MRI table structure, will they need additional training?
- No. As long as the accountant has basic Excel skills the 8-12 hours implementation time is more than sufficient.
